An educational rewards program

An initiative any community can do

About Us

Create This Program in Your Community

This initiative started through a Girl Scout Gold Award project; Jordan Lamb wanted a way to reward educational accomplishments to young students  who otherwise may not be encouraged in their educational excellence.  From her own experience at a young age when she outgrew a loved bike, she wanted to give her gently used bike to another kid who would love the bike as much as she did.  She partnered with the Boys & Girls Club in an at-risk neighborhood to reward kids with a bike for their educational commitment and achievement.

How You Can Do This

Kids outgrow their bikes well before a bike is worn out so this program takes advantage of that .  In your neighborhood hang some posters, post on social sites about a bike donation and challenge your neighbors to forego the $10 they may make at a garage sale by selling the bike and donate it to help reward a child's educational accomplishments!

Educational Accomplishments

Most after-school programs have some type of homework time as part of their daily agenda, we now just need to track this accomplishment! Depending on the number of bike donations the participants could earn a raffle ticket for each week of completed homework (or reading ) or after so many consecutive weeks of accomplishment they earn a bike.
